Does it hurt getting a tattoo?

This depends on the person and where the tattoo is placed on the body. Usually, a tattoo starts off feeling like a bee sting and as your body numbs it turn to a mild discomfort. After the tattoo is completed you may feel a slight burning sensation.

Is there any bleeding?

There is only minor bleeding when applying a tattoo, no more than what you would get with a scrape. The needle only penetrates the top layer of skin.

Can a tattoo be removed?

Yes. There are several methods that produce varied results. You can cover-up or touch-up the existing tattoo with a new one. This depends on the original tattoo's colors and the artist's ability to transform it into the new one. Medical laser removal methods have the best results and are also the most expensive.

What affect does weight gain/loss have?

Normal weight gain/loss should have only a minimal affect of distortion, if any. Although, women who get pregnant and have the tendency to get stretch marks could affect tattoos in that area.

How should I prepare for my tattoo?

First, should you never get a tattoo while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Don't eat a large meal prior to getting your tattoo. Be well rested and relax to help with any anxieties.
